Thank you 2020 for Making me- ME!

*In a teleshopping commercial tone*

Mai bohot moti hua karti thi, log (just my brother- Aashay) mujhe Moti, Bhains, Baby Elephant, etc etc bulaya karte the  Par ek din mere life me aya Nike Training Club ka app, aur usne meri duniya badal di =P

Jokes apart =D, 2020… you have made me care about my physical and mental health!

I’m ever so grateful to this year for making me the best version of myself. <3

Even though, there was a phase in the year, a phase where I felt something foreign; anxiety.

It was a totally new concept to me, I worried about my family’s health obsessively. I rolled down into a dark pool of fear. I knew that all of this was coming to me only because I had nothing to do, so I started to make use of the time by creating content, working out, reading and most importantly, SKIN CARE. I also took some professional help (through a doctor) because I knew eating right, working out and reading a lot is not the solution to everything. The doctor helped me a lot. Apart from that, there was a whole process that needed to be done to deal with my mental health. (:

Little tips on how I achieved this physical and mental transformation:

!!!! NOTE: I DID NOT DO A DIET (Although I do try to consume some greens everyday) NEITHER DID I PARTAKE IN ANY SORT OF HYPNOTHERAPY NOR DID I GO TO A LIFE COACH !!!!

  • Consulted a doctor for my mental health
  • Intermittent fasting (8-16)
  • Work out of maximum 45 minutes, 5 days a week (beginner plan on NTC)
  • Meditation
  • Burning incense
  • Bach flower remedy
  • 7 hours of sleep
  • I tried to cut down on aerated drinks. I’m still trying =’D
  • I massively cut down on alcohol, successfully. (I’ve consumed alcohol only about four to five times this year)
  • Home cooked meals 99% of the time
  • Maximum intake of rice instead of wheat/gluten
  • GREEN TEA  x2
  • 3-4 Litres of water, out of which 1 litres hot water (optional)

All of the things listed above were not practiced by me everyday without fail. I did have setbacks, and I did have those days when I just didn’t want to move my ass. And guess what? I didn’t move my ass when I was having one of those days. =)

Also, getting serious about your health doesn’t mean you HAVE to strip yourself off of all sinful indulgences. When I really need (especially when it’s that time of the month) a burger or a chocolate mousse, I eat it. <3
