Mood of the Day: Peasant Blouse and Denim Skirt

Seriously, chill vibes only.

Have you ever had one of those moods, where you just want to look effortless? That’s it.

“What are you wearing?” “Something effortless.”

That’s the mood I’ve been in for a while now.

I’ve been trying my best to pluck up the determination and do a full-blown makeup look, with a super fly biker jacket, high-waisted pants and some ghetto gold jewellery.

But really, I have half an ass for that these days. =P

So, here’s me. Serving my most favourite look of all time- No makeup, messy hair, a super comfy peasant blouse and denim skirt.

Although, looking effortless also takes a bit of an effort. Not to forget. I did have to shower, wear the outfit, apply sunscreen and a tinted lip balm. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, manage my time, (not procrastinate basically) because golden hour is where the magic happens.

What are Peasant Blouses you may ask?

: A Peasant Blouse is a spin-off on the legendary Peasant Dress. Which are multi-cultured. This specific style is identified with baggy, loose sleeves and a deep, square neckline. The one I’m wearing is a bit more contemporary in style as it has a cinched waistline.

Most appropriate occasions to wear a Peasant Blouse:

  • Brunch. With denims or white pants.
  • Work. A formal colour. In formal trousers or a knee-length skirt.
  • Clubbing. With a mini skirt or high-waisted pants.
  • At home. With leggings or pyjamas.
  • Basically, whenever. With whatever.

Hope this fashion rant helped you in some way or the other! <3

PS: My blouse is from Primark, Milan and my skirt is from Zara, Mumbai.
